UPSC has announced the schedule for CDS 2025. CDS 1 notification will be out on 11th Dec 2024 and the application will be open from 11th Dec 2024 to 31st Dec 2024. The CDS 1 exam will be held on 13th April 2025.
CDS examination is conducted for candidates for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Officers Training Academy, Chennai. How to apply for the CDS 1 2025 Exam?
The steps required to complete the schedule are given below:
- To apply, go to the website upsc.gov.in
- Login to an account or register for OTR
- Click on the CDS Exam Link
- Fill required details
- Upload a photo, signature and photo ID
- Submit CDS Exam Registration Fee
- Select CDS Exam Center
- Finally, submit the Application Form
- A confirmation message will be sent to the candidates’ registered mobile number and email address

CDS 1 Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria specified by the Union General Commission for Defense Recruitment. See detailed eligibility (nationality, education, age, marital status, gender) below.
| Nationality | The candidate must be a citizen of India or Nepal or be of Indian origin. |
| Education | (i) For IMA & OTA: Bachelor Degree in Any Stream. (ii) For Naval Academy: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. (iii) For Airforce: Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream with Physics & Math in 10+2 Level |
