The Government of Madhya Pradesh through its Tribal Affairs Department has launched a coaching scheme (Akanksha Scheme) aimed at providing quality coaching to Scheduled Tribe students. The initiative focuses on preparing students for National Entrance Exams such as JEE, NEET/AIIMS and CLAT. The coaching will be targeted at Class 11 and 12 students at prestigious institutes in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
Akanksha Scheme Overview
In the inaugural year of 2018-19, the program will provide coaching to 200 students per coaching center: 100 for engineering, 50 for medical and 50 for CLAT. This continuous coaching facility will support students till their Class 11 and 12.
Eligibility Criteria
Prescribed Qualifications:
- Applicants must register their profile on the official website www.tribal.mp.gov.in/MPTAAS.
- Applicants must be natives of Madhya Pradesh and belong to the Scheduled Tribe category.
- The annual income of the applicant’s parents/guardians should not exceed ₹6.00 lakhs.
- Students must have passed class 10 and be eligible for admission to class 11.
- Selection for coaching will be based on merit obtained through entrance examinations conducted by the coaching institutes.
Prerequisites:
- The bank account must be linked with an Aadhaar number.
- Applicants must have a digital caste certificate.
- Students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their class 10 examinations.

Online Registration:
- Applicants must register their profile on the official website.
- Click on the link to apply for the Coaching Scheme “Akanksha” for the year 2018-19.
- Fill the required information in the application form and submit it online.
Selection Process
- The respective coaching institutes will conduct course-wise entrance exams.
- Interested candidates must apply online for the entrance exam.
- Admission will be granted based on the merit list obtained from the marks obtained in the entrance exam, as per the seats sanctioned by the coaching institutes.
