BPSC Headmaster Eligibility Criteria

BPSC Headmaster Post Notification 2024 has been released for teaching-level candidates, check the level-wise eligibility criteria from the section below.

Bihar Head Master Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed graduation from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. SC/ST/EBC/BC/PWD/Women and EWS category candidates will be given a 5% relaxation in the minimum prescribed marks.
  • The degree of Alim obtained from Maulana Mazharul Haq Arabic and Persian University, Patna/Bihar State Madrasa Education Board and the degree of Shastri obtained from Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University will be considered equivalent to graduation.
  • Passed D.El.Ed/ B.T/ B.Ed./ B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.L.Ed.
  • For teachers who have been appointed in the year 2012 or after, it is necessary to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test and for teachers who have been appointed before 2012, it is necessary to pass the efficiency test.

Bihar Head Master Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 08 years of continuous service in the post of Secondary Teacher in a State Government School under Panchayati Raj Institutions or Municipal Body Institutions.
  • C.B.S.E.C. Must have a minimum of 12 years of continuous service in the post of Secondary Teacher in a school having permanent affiliation with the Government. S.E./B.S.E.B.
  • Candidates with minimum 04 years of continuous service in the post of Senior Secondary Teacher in a State Government School under a Panchayati Raj Institution or Municipal Institution.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of continuous service in the post of Senior Secondary Teacher in a school having permanent affiliation from CBSE/BSEB.

  • Minimum Age: N/A
  • Maximum Age: 58 Years

BPSC Head Master Notification 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for BPSC Head Master posts consists of one stage of recruitment examination i.e. written examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination. Candidates coming under the merit list will be appointed to the headmaster posts in higher secondary schools of Bihar.

BPSC Head Master Exam Pattern 2024

  • The written test will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • The written examination will be divided into 02 parts. Part 1 is for General Knowledge and Part 2 asks questions from B.Ed subjects.
  • A total of 150 questions will be asked for 150 marks.
  • No negative markings for wrong answers.
