Implementation of the scheme

To avail of the relief, the applicant must submit an application form in writing to the Collector Office, Assistant Commissioner, Tribal Development Madhya Pradesh or District Coordinator, Tribal Caste Welfare.

Along with the application form, these documents are also required:

  • Caste Certificate
  • Aadhar Card
  • BPL Ration Card
  • Copy of Bank Passbook.

Grant Amount

  • Maximum Rs. 15000/- in case of burning of the house
  • Loss of movable property like a horse, vehicle, or animal which is the basis of livelihood, Rs. 5000/- will be given as immediate relief by the Sub-Divisional Officer
  • In case of loss of food grains, clothes, or household goods, an amount up to Rs. 5000/- is payable
  • In case of loss of a well, tube well, electric motor, fruit tree and other economic resources, an amount up to Rs. 1000/- is payable. An amount of Rs. 5000/- is payable as immediate relief.

Future of the Scheme: Suggestions for Improvement

The following suggestions can be made to further enhance the effectiveness of the Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Caste Relief Scheme 2015:

  • Awareness Campaign: The government should launch a comprehensive awareness campaign across the state so that more and more people can become aware of the scheme. This may include radio advertisements, television advertisements, articles in newspapers, dramas in rural areas and awareness camps.
