Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY) was launched on 12th September 2019 by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from Ranchi, Jharkhand.   • Pension Scheme: On attaining the age of 60 years, farmers will get a monthly pension of Rs 3,000.

  • Spouse Pension: If the farmer dies, his wife (or husband) can join the scheme and continue contributing. If they do not want to remain in the scheme, their deposited contribution will be refunded along with interest.
  • Linkage to PM-Kisan: Beneficiary farmers of PM-Kisan Yojana can deposit the contribution of this scheme directly from the same bank account in which they get the benefit of PM-Kisan.

Benefits and Features of Mandhan Yojana

The objective of Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana is to provide social security to the workers of the unorganized sector in old age. Under this scheme, workers of the unorganized sector will be given a pension of Rs 3,000 per month. This scheme is also voluntary and contributory, in which workers between the ages of 18 and 40 can participate.
