Ration Aapke Gram Yojana launched by the Madhya Pradesh government is an important initiative towards improving the living standards of the tribal communities of the state. Under this scheme, the ration is delivered from fair price shops (FPS) to tribal villages, so they do not have to go far to get ration.

About the scheme

Under the Chief Minister Ration Aapke Gram Yojana, ration material distributed from 4 thousand fair price shops of 20 districts will be delivered to the consumers of the tribal class through vehicles. About 450 vehicles will be needed to make this entire system. At the same time, about 7 thousand 500 villages will benefit from this beneficial scheme of the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched This scheme on October 19, 2021 by flagging off 12 vehicles. He also took stock of the food distribution system and the utility of the vehicle by riding on the vehicle.

Objective of the Scheme

The main objectives of this scheme are:

  • To provide ration to the tribal communities in their villages itself, so that they save time and money spent in going to far-flung shops.
  • To bring transparency in food distribution and reduce corruption.
  • Empowering rural women, who are often responsible for taking rations.

Implementation of the Scheme

Under the scheme, the state government has prepared a fleet of specially designed vehicles. These vehicles receive ration from fair-price shops and then go to tribal villages as per the schedule. On reaching the villages, the villagers are informed through the loudspeaker installed in the vehicle. After this, the villagers can get their ration from the vehicle.

Beneficiaries of the Scheme

23.80 lakh families of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. The person working in the scheme will also be given an incentive amount every month. Apart from this, separate money will also be given for other expenses. At the same time, loans will be given to the tribals and vehicles will be purchased to transport food grains from fair price ration shops to the villages. The government will also give incentives along with interest subsidies.

The main beneficiary of the Ration Aapke Gram Yojana is the tribal community, which lives in various tribal development blocks of the state. This scheme not only saves their time and money, but it also increases their dignity and convenience.
