  • Part B is only qualifying, while the marks in Part A determine whether the candidate moves to the next stage.
  • The minimum passing mark for Part B is 35% for all candidates, irrespective of the category.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
  • The CBT 2 exam has sectional timing.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern for CBAT

The Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is for those who are applying for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. Important points include:

  • Minimum passing marks: 42 in each test battery for all categories.
  • Candidates up to 8 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted based on CBT 2 performance.
  • Candidates will have to qualify for each test battery in CBAT.
  • The CBAT questions will be in English and Hindi
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • The final merit list will include only those who qualify for the CBAT, with 70% weightage given to CBT 2 Part A marks and 30% weightage given to CBAT marks.
