The Uttar Pradesh government has launched computer courses. Under this program, the applicant will receive authorized training in computers. The implementation of this scheme will help the UP state government to reach out to eligible candidates and provide them with computer literacy. It will not only enhance the education system but also expand the scope of opportunity for candidates.

Objectives of Computer Training Schemes

The primary goals of computer training schemes include:

  • Bridging the Digital Divide: Ensuring equal access to technology and computer skills for all sections of society.
  • Skill Development: Upgrading the computer proficiency of individuals to enhance their job prospects.

Types of Computer Training Schemes

Computer training schemes can be classified based on target groups, duration, and content:

  • Government-Run Initiatives: These schemes often target underprivileged communities, students, and unemployed youth. They provide free or subsidized training in basic computer skills, office applications and programming.
  • Industry-specific Training: Many companies offer computer training programs to their employees to enhance productivity and adapt to technological advancements.
  • Short-term Courses: These programs focus on specific computer skills, such as data analysis, web development or graphic design.
  • Long-term Programs: These comprehensive programs provide in-depth computer education, leading to certificates or diplomas.

Guidelines/Terms for Trainees

Trainees will be selected based on the percentage obtained in the Intermediate examination against the district-wise target and the remaining eligible applicants will be waitlisted. Applicants will be allotted institutes from among the selected institutes in the district as per their preferences based on online options and institute-wise target set. Trainees receiving training will have to abide by the following conditions:-

  • Trainees applying for the Computer Training Scheme run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department who are not getting the benefit of any other government scheme such as scholarship/fee reimbursement etc.
  • Students selected under the Computer Training Scheme (‘O’ Level & ‘CCC’) will be registered and will be given free training by the institute. The training fee will be paid to the concerned institute as per the norms prevalent by the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Students will not have to pay any fee to the institute for registration and training. The examination fee for any examination conducted by NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) will have to be paid by the trainee to NIELIT through online mode.
  • If a trainee leaves the training before completion of the training without any valid reason, he will have to pay the registration fee to the government and will not be eligible for the said scheme in future.
  • 75% biometric attendance of the trainees will be mandatory during the training session. If a trainee remains absent for 15 days or more without any valid reason/information, a candidate from the waiting list will be appointed in his place. In such a situation, the trainee will not be able to make any claim.
  • A trainee will be eligible only once to avail the benefit of the ‘O’ Level/’CCC’ Computer Training Scheme run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
  • After passing the ‘CCC’ computer training the trainee will be eligible for ‘O’ level course in the next financial year, but once the trainee has availed the benefit of this scheme he/she will not be selected for ‘O’ level/’CCC’ again.

Eligibility

  • Native of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Unemployed youth who have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2).
  • The annual income of parents/guardians should be Rs. 1,00,000/- or less.

Application Process

  • First of all the trainee has to log in to the official website http://obccomputertraining.upsdc.gov.in.
  • The trainee has to enter his name and mobile number for registration.
  • The trainee has to enter the OTP in the appropriate box for verification, which will be received on the registered mobile number.
  • The trainee has to log in with the username and password received on the mobile number.
  • The trainee has to log in after entering the username, password and captcha code in the appropriate fields.
  • After logging in, the trainee has to enter the information in the appropriate columns and upload the documents (income certificate, caste certificate, intermediate mark sheet, self-photograph etc.).
  • The trainee has to lock the application at the end after saving it.
  • The trainee has to take a printout of the application form and submit it to the office of the District Backward Classes Welfare Officer of the concerned district by attaching all the attachments.
