The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has organized and carefully arranged all the prerequisites for the upcoming Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS II), which will be held on September 1, 2024 (Sunday). In search of a seamless execution, the authorities have dispatched admit cards to all the registered examinees. The CDS 2 Admit Card 2024 is available for download on the official website: www.upsc.gov.in. Registered candidates are urged to get their hall tickets immediately using their registration number or roll number along with their date of birth and ensure they have a physical copy with them on the day of the exam.
UPSC CDS 2 Admit Card 2024
The UPSC CDS exam consists of three papers: Paper 1 for General English, Paper 2 for General Knowledge and Paper 3 for Elementary Mathematics. Each paper is of 120 marks and is completed in two hours. Candidates will get all the relevant exam details including date, time and venue with the CDS 2 Admit Card 2024.

Steps to Download CDS 2 Admit Card 2024
To get the CDS 2 Admit Card 2024 for Combined Defence Services Exam II (CDS-2) 2024 from the official portal, follow the following steps:
- Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) www.upsc.gov.in using your web browser.
- On the right side of the homepage, find the “What’s New” section.
- In this section, find the e-Admit Card Download link displayed with “Combined Defence Services Exam (II), 2024” and click on it.
- A new page will open; click on “Click Here”.
- An instruction PDF will appear – print this document as it is mandatory.
- Proceed by selecting ‘By Registration ID’ or ‘By Roll Number’. Enter the required details including Registration Number/Roll Number, Date of Birth and Captcha, then click on ‘Submit’.
- Your UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS-2) Admit Card will be displayed on the screen; download and print it.
CDS 2 Exam Schedule 2024
UPSC Combined Defence Services Exam II (2024) will be conducted on September 1, 2024, in offline mode. The exam will be conducted in three shifts:
- the first shift from 09:00 am to 11:00 am (English paper),
- the second shift from 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm (General Knowledge paper), and
- last shift from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm (Elementary Mathematics paper).
Candidates must reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the start of each session, along with a printed copy of the CDS 2 Admit Card 2024.
Documents Required for the CDS 2 Exam
Candidates must bring the original photo identity proof as well as the original identity proof (Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card, driving license or voter ID card) issued by the government to the exam centre on the day of the exam. A black ballpoint pen is also required for the exam hall.
CDS 2024 Exam Day Guidelines
- Carry the CDS 2024 admit card to the exam centre on the day of the exam along with a valid photo identity proof (such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport or driving license).
- Reach the exam centre at least an hour before the start of the CDS exam.
- It is advisable to visit the exam centre before the exam day to get familiar with the route and traffic conditions. This will make it easier to plan transport on the exam day and also avoid last-minute rush.
- Make sure all the necessary items are brought to the exam centre.
- Avoid bringing electronic gadgets, expensive valuables, any kind of paper, calculator, handbag, wallet, eatables, earphones, mobile phones, microphones, tape recorders, cameras or Bluetooth devices to the exam centre.
- Avoid indulging in any unfair practices during the exam as such actions may have serious consequences including the possibility of cancellation of the candidate’s participation in the exam.
- Keep the CDS Admit Card safe until the CDS selection process is completed.
