  • Fourth Stage: A lump sum of Rs 2,000 is given when the girl enrolls in Class VI.
  • Fifth Stage: A lump sum of Rs 3,000 is given when the girl enrolls in Class IX.
  • Sixth Stage: Girls who pass Class 12 and enroll in undergraduate or diploma courses of two years or more are provided with a lump sum of Rs 5,000.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the beneficiaries are as follows:

  • The family should be a resident of Uttar Pradesh and should have a permanent residence certificate supported by documents such as a ration card, Aadhaar card, voter ID card or electricity bill.
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹3 lakh.
  • A maximum of two girls are eligible per family.
  • There should not be more than two children in the family.
  • In case twins are born in the second delivery, the third girl is also given the benefit. Similarly, if the first delivery is a girl and the second twins are girls, all three girls are eligible.

Application Process

  • Applicants need to visit the official MKSY website of the Department of Women and Child Development.
  • On the homepage, select the Citizen Service Portal option.
  • Agree to the terms and proceed by clicking on ‘Continue’.
  • The registration form will appear, asking for details such as the applicant’s name, Aadhaar number, mobile number and OTP verification.
  • After successful registration, a user ID will be sent to the applicant’s mobile phone.
  • After logging in, fill out the registration form for a girl child and upload the required documents.
  • Submit the Application.
