- The board provides Rs 65,000 for a daughter’s marriage for mass marriage at one place of at least 11 couples. Apart from this, the organizer gets Rs 7,000 per couple for expenses. An amount of Rs 5,000 for the bride and groom’s dress will be transferred to the registered worker’s account one week before the date of mass marriage. If any party does not attend, the advance amount for the dress will be adjusted with the amount payable in regular or inter-caste marriage.
- For remarriage of registered female construction workers, the benefit is available if the previous marriage was legally divorced or the husband has died. Necessary documents like court judgment or death certificate must be provided. The benefit amount for remarriage is equal to the amount payable in mass marriage.
Eligibility
- Registered construction workers must have completed at least 365 days of membership of the board.
- The application should be made within one year of the marriage or 15 days before in case of mass marriage.
- Aadhaar authentication of the daughter is mandatory.
- The benefit is limited to two children.
- The minimum age of the daughter and the proposed groom should be 18 and 21 years respectively.
Application Process
- To apply for the scheme, one has to apply along with all the required records through the Public Service Center/Board website within one year of the marriage. In case of mass marriage, the application can be made 15 days before the scheduled marriage date.
